Environment Protection
1. Energy reduction

We provide ships with optimum maintenance systems by data analysis of dry docking, ship supply, engine efficiency & performance. This is provided by our ship maintenance management system.

The engineers of the "Technical Working Group" has studied how to set the optimal exhaust gas temperature of main engines & generators and how to improve generator efficiency by additional oil filtering and by recycling leaked fuel oil.

Another studies for energy reduction and efficient improvements are also performed by the technical working group.

We manage our energy consumption and reduction goals by setting standard quantity of oil consumption per ship and ship type, and by inspecting oil quality by an outside certified inspection body.

2. Air pollution protection

In order to prevent the depletion of the earth's ozone layer, "R-134A" is substituted for freon gas(CFC) in our refrigerated containers. Instead of using Halon gas in our fire extinguishers, we use Co2.

All ships are provided with technical guidelines about how to minimize air pollution during incinerator operation. This includes instructions on how to minimize garbage by separation and recycling.

3. Water pollution prevention

We have developed and installed equipment in all of our ships that will protect the environment by completely separating oil from bilge water. We have switched to anti-corrosive paints that don't including tin or solvents that can possibly cause water pollution, save on resources by reusing dunnage and lashing material. Further develop systems to prevent water pollution Our ships are equipped with settling tanks to minimize the amount of sludge. These wastes are disposed of at certified shore handling facilities.

4. Accident prevention

1) Vessel operation

We have introduced and use "Defensive Navigation " program. This program prevents accidents and collisions by following complete navigation plans and navigational rules that allow for factors of enough room, time and distance.

Our safe operation dialogue. By collecting and analyzing data concerning accidents and near miss cases in and outside the company we have established dangerous and warning navigation zones by lane, and are able to provide an intensive ship management program that reflects variations in the weather.

We have built a continuous management system to minimize the accident rate. We reduce the accident rate by appointing operators by ship and safety managers by area. We further educate crew members by compulsorily reviews of accident cases, prevention methods and the use of various ship operation simulations.

2) Cargo management

We prevent irregular service by providing a cargo management manual that contains specific cargo characteristic information and handling methods. By also checking, analyzing and educating our staff about irregularity cases around the world, we further prevent their occurrence.

By using educated specialists we can thoroughly manage reefer and dangerous cargo and prevent any pollution that may caused by cargo leakage and deterioration.

3) Human protection

Our development and use of protective safety clothing gear and equipment ensures comfort and a safe working environment. We completely analyze all accidents and maintain a continuous life saving education program for all crew members. In order to continuously reduce accidents, we increase awareness of harmful environmental elements, conduct periodical health checks and maintain an optimal medical supply

5. Emergency response

We analyze the methods of vessel operation, cargo management and human life protection. To further promote safety we develop emergency checklists and procedures by accident type and periodically execute internal and external audit to evaluate the effectiveness of these measures. We conduct shore- ship joint emergency response drill one time a year and thereby operate organization of emergency response, check & improve ability of emergency response Institute of outside Emergency Response Service has all ship's drawings related with salvage, and it help us to establish countermeasures for salvage promptly & accurately.

6. Accident Management diagram

These working procedures are documented in their entirety and are carried out by our staff and crew. All activities are audited periodically by internal and external auditors and the performance is reviewed by top management for non-conformity and improvement.

In this way, our system is committed to continuous improvement.
